When
I was a baby I pooped
And peed in my diaper.
Even when I
cried,
I was not a burden.
When
I grew a little older
And I had chores to do,
Even when I
whined,
I was not a burden.
Junior
high school teachers gave me projects
That kept me and my mom
busy.
And even though we had to work late into the night,
I was
not a burden.
I
played loud rock and roll music in high school,
Along with eating
everything in sight,
And even though I was not always pleasant,
I
was not a burden.
Or
was I really a burden
On my parents,
On their pocketbooks,
On
their patience,
And
they loved me enough,
Cherished me enough,
Tolerated my
pitfalls enough,
I was not a burden.
